Every February in Montlucon in the center of France, some of the world’s greatest drummers
can be found alongside the nations finest, during what can only be described as a two day total immersion event.
The Tam Tam Drum Show presented by Jean Francois Miguel of the Tam Tam drum school in Montlucon is one of the country’s most prestigious drum events. Names such as Ian Paice, Cindy Blackman, Carmine Appice, Thomas Lang, Richard Kolinka, Virgil Donati, Walfredo Reyes jr., Nick Di Virgilio, James Kottack, Herman Rarebell, Russ Miller, Will Calhoun, Christian Vander, Franky Costanza, Dirk Verbeuren, Loïc Pontieux, Gregg Bissonette, Mike Terrana, Manu Katché, Alain De Campos, Félix Bohnke and Dirk Brand have appeared at the Chateau St Jean during the last 20 years for the benefit of over 120 participants each year who travel from all around the country.

The weekend long event includes a full day of clinics on the Saturday from 10am through till 7pm with a break for dinner. After dinner, there is a live performance featuring all the artists on the bill until late Saturday night.
The following day, there are group Masterclasses from a selection of guests where the participants will have the chance to learn with some of the most respected players in the business.
